Fed 2 Camera Project

These are some pics taken with a Fed2 camera from the Former Soviet Union. These cameras are rangefinder copies of the Leica. However, they are not built to the same standards as the Leica. Build quality is sporadic, at best, but for forty dollars, you can afford to take some chances. The lenses are pretty good, and when the camera and lens are properly collumated, they give images comparable to the Leicas of the time. They have no meter so a handheld is required or "The Sunny-16 Rule" must be used. The only complaint I have is that the viewfinder is small and not very clear. This camera fits my hand well and I find myself reaching for it time and again..
